PCP/PMT Meeting

Agenda items:

  *

New Issues from Pilot teams and other:

  *

Alexanders high contrast issue - Justin confirms this issue

  *

TASK Alex will try from scratch again on 32 and 64 bit. He will make
    a JIRA

  *

Chris: started investigating GPII-683. There seem to be an issue
with how to the contrast theme is set at the OS level and with how
firefox interfaces with that event. In 95% of the cases, the
problems can be overcome by doing a manual refresh. In a few cases
(no pattern found) windows sets a theme called "unsaved theme".

  *

TASK: Chris will create a JIRA describing the 'unsaved theme' issue.

  *

Eleni: Ivan had a problem with the PMT. Every time the "save and
apply" button was hit a second time, the browser would close

  *

This is likely due to the universal repo not being properly updated.
    TThe instrcutions
    here:http://wiki.gpii.net/index.php/Cloud4all_Pilot_2_-_Set_up_and_installationon
how to update should be followed.

  *

    Fixed issues from implementers:

  *

GPII-677: Read-back's checkboxes seem always selected when in high
    contrast

  *

    End-to-end testing

      o

As soon as possible, the pilot teams should go through the pilot
scenarios (like we were trying to do in Athens)

  *

    Follow up on tasks:

  *

KASPER will create a JIRA to describe the hacky fixes and
differences between pilot2 and master branch

      o

        DONE - GPII-685

  *

KASPER will go through the list when checking whether the branch is
    working and create JIRAs accordingly

      o

DONE'ish - Did some random testing and poking, but was unable to
check the settings in linux, so couldn't follow script

  *

ELENI- is the high contrast issue on radio buttons (under
punctuation marks in screenreader) a blocker?

      o

this is blocking for pilots (GPII-675)

  *

ALEX - do some triaging to find out what the issue (and potential
    fix) is for GPII-681

  *

The AERO themes should be used in windows else only the docked mode
is working. The docked left/right/bottom selection is not currently
supported in windows (could theoretically be supported in the long
run by setting X and Y coordinates for the magnifier)

  *

    JIRAs:http://issues.gpii.net/issues/?jql=project%20%3D%20GPII%20AND%20status%20in%20%28Open%2C%20%22In%20Progress%22%2C%20Reopened%2C%20%22Pull%20request%22%29%20AND%20fixVersion%20%3D%20%22Pilot%202%22%20AND%20component%20in%20%28%22Needs%20and%20%20Preferences%20Management%20Tool%22%2C%20%22Personal%20Control%20Panel%22%29%20ORDER%20BY%20priority%20DESC%2C%20key%20ASC

  *

GPII-669: was reopened due to a request for a border around the
button. This isn't as simple as expected due to issues with borders
in high contrast not being well supported in
    firefox:https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=898437

  *

First fix for this is to move the button up to appear right under
the panel. This should take care of the blocking part.

  *

Once this is done, it can be downgraded to critical, and then the
fix should be done by adding a shadow around the
    button:https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/box-shadow.
Remember to leave comment in the code explaining why shadow is used
    and refer tohttps://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=898437

  *

The fix should be applied to both the PCP and the PMT

  *

    Pull Requests:https://github.com/GPII/prefsEditors/pulls

  *

    TASK:

  *

    ALEX:write a mail describing the GPII-681 issue/problem

  *

    ALEX: Update
    thehttp://wiki.gpii.net/index.php/Cloud4all_Pilot_2_-_Set_up_and_installationpage
to include that on windows, the aero theme needs to be selected.
